Ministry and Personnel Committee

The Ministry and Personnel Committee acts under the guidelines of The Manual to provide resources and support for the staff and the congregation with respect to any issue affecting personnel appointed by the church.  In particular, Ministry and Personnel deals with any conflicts that may arise between personnel  or between personnel and the congregation, advises Council of issues that may require Council to act as a Court of the Church, works with Presbytery and Conference to utilize their resources in personnel management and conflict resolution, conducts annual performance  evaluations of staff in conjunction with responsible Standing Committees, approves job descriptions and recommends any changes in these to Council, meets annually with staff to discuss salaries, benefits and working conditions, proposes any changes in salary and working conditions to the Council on a quarterly basis or as required.  The Ministry and Personnel Committee is independent and members are not permitted to be members of Council or Standing Committees.
